Liew Chian Jia, HKTB’s Southeast Asia regional director, said Vietnam is one of the board’s key markets in the region, emphasizing plans to showcase a vibrant Hong Kong through cultural experiences, distinctive tourism, and international events.
The board’s data show that Hong Kong received 44.5 million international arrivals in 2024 and expects the figure to rise to 49 million this year.

Vietnamese visitors stay an average of 3.5 days and spend about HKD6,400 (US$822) per trip, according to HKTB estimates.
Phan Quoc Dai, deputy director of outbound tourism at Saigontourist, said demand has surged.
Between January and September, bookings for Hong Kong matched the company’s total for all of 2024.
Dai predicted the final quarter would see double the number of bookings compared with the first nine months.
He acknowledged that Hong Kong tour packages cost more than other regional destinations but said Vietnamese travelers continue to favor the city for its service quality and overall appeal.

HKTB said Hong Kong is strengthening its position as Asia’s ‘event capital,’ highlighting major festivals such as Tai Hang’s fire dragon dance, the Wine & Dine Festival, and WinterFest, as well as new entertainment offerings.
These include the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong Disneyland, the ‘Friendtastic!’ show, and attractions at Ocean Park, Kai Tak Sports Park, and the CR7 Life Museum.
