Officers are investigating and working with the four suspects involved in the incident at T.V. Gold Shop, located in Song Cau Ward.
The alarm system, which was installed under a local police initiative to enhance security and has been in use for the past two years, proved particularly effective during the incident.
Police in the ward said that a number of localities across the country have recently witnessed robberies and thefts at gold, silver and gemstone businesses.
Criminals have employed increasingly sophisticated and aggressive tactics, causing concern among business owners.
In response, local police conducted awareness campaigns and encouraged gold and jewelry businesses, as well as bank transaction offices in the ward, to install emergency alarm systems connected directly to the police duty phone.

Simple and effective system
The system was designed to be simple and convenient to operate while maintaining a direct connection with police officers' phones.
When an unusual or dangerous situation occurs, the business owner only needs to press the activation button.
The system immediately sends an alarm signal to the local police.
Once the signal is received, officers can quickly assess the situation and arrive at the scene to handle the incident and help ensure security and safety for the business.
The installation program has received strong support from gold and jewelry business owners in the area.
According to local police, the system has operated reliably, with rapid signal transmission and simple operation, delivering practical results in improving security.
At around 7:00 am on Tuesday morning, two foreign nationals, including a man and a woman, arrived at T.V. Gold Shop, owned by M.T.V., 50, a resident of Long Binh Dong Residential Quarter in Song Cau Ward.
The man approached the shop owner and engaged him in conversation, apparently to distract his attention.
Meanwhile, the woman discreetly approached a gold display cabinet inside the shop, unlocked a cabinet whose key had been left in the lock and took three gold bangles worth a combined VND208 million (US$8,000).
The shop owner noticed what was happening and shouted for help.
The woman dropped all three bangles under the cabinet before fleeing the shop with her accomplice.
The pair ran to a waiting white car parked across the street, where two other men were inside.
At around 8:00 am the same day, officers intercepted and arrested four people–three men and one woman– on National Highway 1D in neighboring Gia Lai Province.
Two of them were allegedly directly involved in the incident at the gold shop, while the other two had been traveling with them in the vehicle.
