Hundreds participate in fire drill at Da Nang administrative center

The drill simulated a fire on a 14th floor meeting room, with officials estimating about 1,200 people were in the building at the time. 

Firefighters and building rescue teams guided approximately 1,100 people to safety and assisted several others who were injured or trapped by smoke.

Multiple fire engines, rescue vehicles, and personnel were deployed, and the drill ended after about 10 minutes, with all participants accounted for and handed over to medical teams. 

Officials said the exercise aimed to improve coordination, preparedness, and rapid response among government agencies and emergency services.
