Foreign visitors must carry all required entry documents, including a passport or internationally recognized travel document with sufficient validity, a valid visa, a visa exemption certificate, or a lawful residence permit under Vietnamese regulations.

Travelers are advised to carefully check personal information, validity periods, and the stated purpose of entry on all documents before arriving in Vietnam.

Foreigners entering Vietnam must complete all required declarations following instructions from authorities and transport operators.

All declared information must match the details shown on passports, visas, and related documents.

Vietnamese authorities strictly prohibit foreign travelers from using forged documents, providing false information, and entering the country for purposes different from those declared.

Foreign travelers may complete pre-arrival declarations online through Vietnam’s pre-arrival immigration system at https://prearrival.immigration.gov.vn.

At airports and border gates, foreigners must present passports, visas, and related documents when requested by immigration officers.

Travelers are also required to cooperate fully with immigration control authorities and follow all security and public order regulations at entry points.

After completing immigration procedures, foreigners should carefully verify the duration of temporary residence granted by local authorities.

If they wish to remain in Vietnam longer, they must apply for visa extensions, temporary residence card renewals, and other related procedures.

These applications must be completed before the authorized stay expires.

Foreign nationals staying in Vietnam must be registered for temporary residence according to Vietnamese law.

Hotels, accommodation service providers, landlords or individuals directly managing foreign residents are responsible for completing the declaration with local police within the required time frame.

Temporary residence declarations can be submitted online at https://tbltkbtt.bocongan.gov.vn/

Foreigners are only permitted to conduct activities consistent with their declared purpose of entry.

Those working in Vietnam must possess a valid work permit or other lawful documents specified in Vietnamese regulations.
