Indonesian students join summer volunteer campaign with Ho Chi Minh City students

The Bau Lam Commune Youth Union welcomed a Green Summer volunteer team comprising 45 students.

During their stay, the volunteers will take part in a range of community activities, including foreign language classes, summer programs for children, digital transformation awareness campaigns, environmental protection initiatives, landscape improvement projects, cultural exchanges, and social welfare activities.

Shortly after the welcoming ceremony, the volunteers began their first project by painting a mural at the Cho Ro ethnic cultural house in the commune.

Through their creative artwork, the once-plain wall was transformed with colorful images reflecting the cultural identity of the Cho Ro ethnic group.

The mural also conveys messages of solidarity, environmental protection, preservation of traditional culture, and rural development.

Organizers said the artwork symbolizes friendship and cultural exchange between the youth of Vietnam and Indonesia.

The volunteers also organized summer activities for local children, featuring group games and interactive programs.

The friendliness and enthusiasm of the Indonesian students created a lively atmosphere, leaving a positive impression on local children while encouraging them to communicate more confidently and learn about different cultures.
