This is AEON’s second mall in Hai Phong, following AEON Mall Le Chan, which opened in 2020.
The opening ceremony was attended by Hai Phong officials, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Ito Naoki, and large crowds of local residents.
The new mall, located in Thach Khoi Ward, spans more than 38,000 square meters across three floors.
It combines AEON’s own retail space with 37 specialty stores, designed to serve approximately 330,000 residents within a 15-minute drive.
The facility features zones dedicated to shopping, dining, fashion, health and beauty, household goods, and entertainment.

AEON Vietnam Co., Ltd., under Japan’s AEON, said the mall will create about 900 jobs, including 450 positions within AEON’s direct retail operations.
The center is also expected to become a distribution hub for local agricultural products and specialties, such as dried lychee and specialty guava, which will be introduced into AEON’s retail system.
Tran Van Quan, vice-chairman of the Hai Phong administration, expressed confidence that AEON’s experience, combined with local support, will make the mall a popular destination for residents and visitors.
He said the project will contribute to the growth of commerce and services in the port city’s western part.
Regarding AEON Mall Le Chan, the company’s first mall in Hai Phong, it opened in December 2020 with a floor area of 158,000 square meters and 190 stores.
