Investigation launched into 480 kidney stone procedures conducted despite broken equipment in Vietnam’s Dak Lak

The Tay Nguyen Regional General Hospital in Dak Lak Province, Vietnam performed surgeries and submitted insurance claims for 480 patients while its lithotripsy machine had been broken for nearly two years. Provincial health authorities have now referred the case to police for investigation, calling it a serious violation.
