Many local fans are expecting Truong Thi May, representative of Vietnam at the 2013 Miss Universe, to win high prizes at the beauty contest’s finale in the night of November 9 in Moscow.
During her journey at the competition, May has drawn attention and been appreciated by beauty analyzing experts. After the national costume round on November 3, May’s ao dai was listed among the top 5 national costumes by Missosology, the #1 online magazine for beauty pageants.
“It is richly embroidered with the fabric so classy and elegant and so royal. A real head turning costume,” Missosology wrote about May’s costume.
Another famous beauty analyzing website, Global Beauties later also announced 7 national costumes which are expected to win big at the round, and the Vietnamese ao dai worn by May is considered the best national costume among Asian costumes at this year’s contest.
“Wearing the sophisticated ao dai made by designer Thuan Viet, I’m very confident and happy with the Vietnamese beauty,” Truong Thi may shared with Tuoi Tre.
Moreover, according to the contest’s independent evaluations by beauty analyzing experts, May has also been voted in the top 10 beauties with swimsuits and is also predicted to go far at the final night.
“I feel proud of what I’ve have done at the competition so far. I’ve tried to introduce Vietnam’s history, culture, and people to the world. I want everybody to know Vietnam as a both young and traditional country,” May added.
The finale of the 2013 Miss Universe will be broadcast live on VTV6 from 1am to 3am on November 10 and can be watch later at 3:30pm the same day on VTV3 and 8:30pm on November 12 on VTV2.
