Mountainous and midland areas, including Quang Ninh Province, could see rainfall of 30-80 millimeters, with some places exceeding 170 millimeters.
Other northern provinces and the north-central province of Thanh Hoa are likely to experience showers of 15-35 millimeters, with localized heavy rain over 70 millimeters, mostly in the evening.
Due to the impact of the weather system, flooding and landslides induced by heavy rainfall have hit several northern provinces over the past few days, causing damage to homes and property.

In Lao Cai Province’s Muong Khuong Commune, heavy rain between Wednesday night and early Thursday morning raised stream levels, flooding roads in multiple villages.
Local police worked overnight to help more than 20 households move belongings and vehicles to safety.
In Thai Nguyen Province, torrential rain inundated roads, bridges, and rice fields in communes like Binh Yen and Phu Dinh.
Authorities late on Thursday were searching for a child believed to have been swept away by floodwaters in Phu Dinh.

In Son La Province, falling rocks struck a car on National Highway 27D, injuring a 37-year-old woman and severely damaging the vehicle. Two houses collapsed, five were evacuated, and 38 others were partially damaged.
In Dien Bien Province, floods destroyed one house, damaged 102 others, and left 69 homes at risk of landslides. About 57 hectares of crops were submerged, while 23 cattle and 150 poultry were lost. Three schools and 40 rural roads were also affected.
