The suspect, Bui Huu Khanh, lives in Binh Tan District, where he operates a garment workshop on Pham Dang Giang Street.
He is also the next-door neighbor of 39-year-old T.V.A.
According to police officers, the incident occurred at around 8:20 pm on June 22, when A. returned home and heard loud karaoke music coming from Khanh's workshop.
In response, A. called Khanh to ask that the music be turned down so as not to disturb the neighborhood.
At the time, Khanh was drinking with friends at another location.
Irritated by the request, he replied, "Let me come back right now."
Aware that Khanh had been drinking heavily, one of his friends, identified as H., drove him back to the workshop on a motorbike.

A screenshot from security camera footage shows Bui Huu Khanh forcefully tugging at his neighbor's gate after being told to keep the karaoke volume at his workshop down.
When Khanh arrived and saw that his employees were still singing karaoke, he did not ask them to stop.
Instead, he approached A.'s home and began shouting profanities.
When A. refused to open the door, Khanh threw a bag of garbage at the security camera and continued shouting insults.
He then forcefully shoved the metal gate several times until it broke from its hinges and collapsed onto the street.
The entire confrontation was captured by security footage, which was later shared online and sparked widespread public outrage.
Police confirmed Khanh's arrest on Friday and said an investigation is ongoing.
