Images circulating on social media show the man lying unconscious near the stage of an ongoing event.
Soon after the incident, several people approached to assist him.
The area was crowded at the time due to the event, with many families, including children, present. Witnesses appeared shocked by the incident.
A representative of Aeon Mall Vietnam confirmed the incident to Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper on Sunday afternoon, saying that the man was quickly taken to a hospital for emergency treatment, though his current condition remains unknown.
“We are coordinating with authorities to gather more information and cannot release further details at this time,” the Aeon Mall representative said.
Previously, multiple similar incidents occurred at Van Hanh Mall in Ho Chi Minh City, where individuals jumped to their death from upper floors within a short period.
These events drew significant attention from the public and affected the operation of many brands and tenants.
In response, Van Hanh Mall has employed several safety measures, including installing safety nets in atrium areas, to prevent further tragedies.
