
A screenshot from a video shows N.T.D. doing a wheelie on an SH scooter in Ho Chi Minh City. The incident was discovered by a citizen who reported it to the municipal traffic police.
A video, which shows the man performing the stunt at the intersection of Nguyen Phuc Chu and Tong Van Hen Streets, was posted on social media.
A representative of the Ho Chi Minh City traffic police unit reported that the incident was initially brought to their attention via a citizen’s tip-off submitted to the unit’s Facebook page.

The unit later proceeded to verify the information.
They coordinated with the Tan Son Nhat traffic police team to launch an investigation.
Within two hours, they identified the man as N.T.D., a 22-year-old resident of Tan An Hoi Commune.
He was seen riding the vehicle using only one wheel at 0:58 on Tuesday at the aforementioned intersection.
D. was found to be operating the vehicle without a valid motorcycle license.

Police also issued a report against L.T.H., a 21-year-old resident of Binh Tan Ward and the owner of the SH scooter, for allowing an unqualified individual to operate the vehicle.
D. was fined VND7 million (US267) and H. VND9 million ($343).
