Miss World 2026: Who are the frontrunners for the crown?

As the Miss World 2026 final approaches, several contestants are emerging as frontrunners after strong performances in preliminary events and high placements in international beauty pageant rankings.

Vietnam’s Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc is among the most closely watched contenders.

Sash Factor has placed Bao Ngoc among its leading candidates alongside representatives from Brazil, Venezuela, Bolivia, the Czech Republic, and other countries.

Meanwhile, Missosology ranked her fifth in its latest prediction, behind Brazil, the Philippines, Chile, and Nigeria.

Bao Ngoc further strengthened her chances by winning the Top Model title for the Asia-Pacific region, becoming one of the first contestants to secure a place in the Miss World 2026 Top 40.

Brazil’s Gabriela Botelho is another strong favorite.

Missosology ranked her first in its initial prediction, while Sash Factor has also consistently placed her among the frontrunners.

The Philippines’ Asia Rose Simpson has also emerged as one of the names to watch.

After ranking second in Missosology’s first prediction, she won the Head to Head Challenge for the Asia-Oceania region, earning a direct berth in the Top 40.

Contestants from Chile, Nigeria, the Czech Republic, India, and Belgium have also regularly appeared in international pageant forecasts.

So far, representatives from Vietnam, the Philippines, England, France, Germany, Nigeria, South Africa, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Trinidad and Tobago have secured places in the Top 40.

The final of the 73rd Miss World pageant is scheduled for September 5 at April 2 Square in Nha Trang, south-central Vietnam.

First held in 1951, Miss World marks its 75th anniversary in 2026.

The pageant promotes its “Beauty With a Purpose” philosophy, with winners taking part in charitable and humanitarian activities around the world.

The reigning Miss World is Thailand’s Opal Suchata.
