Held under the theme ‘Soul of Heritage,’ the fashion event, as part of the Miss World 2026, sought to connect contemporary fashion with traditional materials and cultural stories from countries and territories around the world.
The World Designer segment was the highlight of the fashion show.
Each contestant presented a self-selected design, offering an insight into the tailoring techniques, creative vision and cultural heritage of the country or territory she represents.
According to the organizers, many of the outfits stood out for their combination of contemporary styles with traditional materials and distinctive local details.
Rather than emphasizing elaborate embellishment, the designs focused on telling individual stories through silhouettes, fabrics, patterns and craftsmanship.
Through their runway appearances, the contestants did more than showcase fashion.
They also helped bring stories of culture, identity and national pride to an international audience.
The beauty of Canada won the World Designer title for the Americas and Caribbean region.
The representative from Mauritius took the award in Africa, while the French beauty was named the winner in Europe.
In the Asia and Oceania region, the representative from China claimed the title.

A cultural showcase is scheduled for September 2 at April 2 Square in Nha Trang.
Each contestant will present a performance highlighting her country's identity through music, dance and costume.
The Miss World grand final will take place on the evening of September 5, also at April 2 Square.
Reigning Miss World Opal Suchata Chuangsri will crown her successor.
The Miss World pageant was first held in 1951.
In 2026, the competition marks its 75th anniversary and its 73rd edition.
The pageant promotes the message of 'Beauty With a Purpose.'
Winners typically take part in charitable and humanitarian initiatives aimed at benefiting communities and society.
The reigning Miss World is Opal Suchata of Thailand.
