“Jobs”, a film on legendary Apple co-founder Steve Jobs is set to be screened in Vietnam starting Oct 4.
The film, one of the two about the iconic Apple co-founder who died of cancer in 2011, is a 2013 American biographical drama film based on the life of Steve Jobs. The film charts his early life from 1974 being a student at the Reed College to the introduction of the iPod in 2001.
“Jobs”, directed by Joshua Michael Stern, stars actor Ashton Kutcher as the iconic computer industry titan, and Josh Gad as Apple Computer's (now Apple Inc.) other co-founder Steve Wozniak.
The film was chosen to close the prestigious 2013 Sundance International Film Festival, where it received lukewarm reception from critics.
“Jobs” has been greeted coolly by Apple’s other co-founder Steve Wozniak, who has taken exception to several scenes in the movie.
Wozniak said the film is factually “wrong” in many details, while its filmmakers countered that it is meant as entertainment only, not a literal biographical recount of the computer guru's life.
