This event signals a strategic step forward in international cooperation, affirming the reputation and governance capabilities of Nam A Bank, the bank said in a press release on October 15.

This strategic cooperation agreement is the realization of key directions agreed upon by the senior leaders of both sides during the visit and working session in June.

In just over four months, the two financial institutions fully completed the counterparty due diligence process, set up USD settlement accounts, and moved on to signing the official agreement.

This rapid implementation timeline demonstrates the strong trust and commitment

between the two sides.

Under the agreement, JPMorgan Chase will provide short-term USD trade finance facilities to Nam A Bank.

This funding will directly serve import and export financing needs, as well as pre- and post-shipment financing operations for corporate customers.

Combined with the professional USD settlement account system at JPMorgan Chase, the cooperation will help Nam A Bank enhance its international payment capabilities, significantly shorten cross-border transaction processing times, and expand the scale of financing resources for Vietnamese import-export enterprises.

Beyond the immediate trade finance limits, the Master Agreement also serves as the foundation for a comprehensive and long-term correspondent banking relationship.

On this foundation, the two sides plan to expand cooperation into other key areas, such as developing trade finance limits linked to guarantee programs from international development finance institutions, providing optimal foreign exchange solutions and modern payment services, and supporting Nam A Bank in accessing the in-depth and comprehensive financial market research of JPMorgan Chase.

“Opening the USD account in the United States and signing the Master Trade Loan Agreement today are only the beginning.

“As a 'bank for banks,' with our team of experts and in-depth research capabilities, JPMorgan Chase stands ready to support Nam A Bank in reaching global investors and expanding our cooperation, from long-term financing to international capital raising, going forward.”
