Nam Dinh FC celebrate back-to-back V.League 1 titles with final-day victory

Nam Dinh FC celebrated their second consecutive V.League 1 championship with a 1-0 win over Hong Linh Ha Tinh on Sunday, closing out the 2024–25 season in front of home fans at Thien Truong Stadium in Nam Dinh Province, northern Vietnam with a fireworks-filled title ceremony.

V.League 1 is Vietnam’s top-tier professional football league, featuring 14 clubs competing over 26 rounds.

Nam Dinh previously secured the title one round early after a 2-0 win over Quang Nam on June 15, reaching 54 points—eight clear of second-placed Hanoi FC.

Sunday’s victory brought their final tally to 57 points, with Hanoi finishing on 49.

Hanoi Police FC and Viettel FC rounded out the top four with 45 and 44 points, respectively.

The league crown is Nam Dinh’s fourth major title, following the 2007 National Cup, the 1985 A1 Championship (a predecessor to V.League 1), and last season’s 2023–24 league title.

Nam Dinh become the fifth club in the V.League 1 to defend their title, joining Hanoi FC, Binh Duong, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, and Long An.
