At around 1:00 pm on Friday, officers raided a residence in Tan Lan Commune, Can Duoc District and found a large quantity of suspicious powdered milk.
The property is owned by a man residing in Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City.
During the raid, officers discovered over 11,800 cans of powdered milk packed into more than 960 cardboard boxes, with a total weight of approximately 25 metric tons.
The products bore various brand names, including Z1000 Gold+, Sanaki Grow IQ Plus (Sun), and Gold 1+, among others.
At the time of the inspection, the owner failed to present any invoices or documentation proving the origin or legality of the goods.
As such, officials booked the owner and seized the goods.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the source of the products and whether criminal charges will be filed under Vietnam’s laws regarding counterfeit goods and consumer protection.
