The deal was signed on Wednesday in Ho Chi Minh City during the official launch of the Vietnamese translation of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, an independent, international standards organization based in Amsterdam that creates the world's most widely used framework for sustainability reporting.
The funding will support agiculture businesses adopting circular economy practices, reducing emissions, implementing clean energy, and meeting key ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) targets.
The goal is to help local firms align with global sustainability standards and boost their international competitiveness.
Golden Gate BCE specializes in water resource management and sustainable farming, while LPF Fund focuses on developing green investment vehicles for eco-friendly projects.
Speaking at the event, Dr. William L. Nolten, chairman and CEO of Golden Gate BCE Group, stressed that the future of agriculture relies heavily on transparent, traceable, and climate-resilient supply chains.
Dr. Allinnettes Adigue, director of GRI’s ASEAN network, highlighted the growing pressure on companies to adopt these practices, noting that 79 percent of institutional investors now treat climate risk data with the same weight as financial reports.
Swiss Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, Werner Bardill, also attended the launch, reiterating Switzerland’s support for private-sector innovation and sustainable business practices as global trade requirements become increasingly stringent.
Golden Gate BCE Group operates across international markets and focuses on building sustainable, climate-resilient value chains for the agriculture and food sectors by promoting low-carbon products, circular economy practices, and environmental technologies.
Through strategic funding programs and cross-border partnerships—particularly across Southeast Asia—Golden Gate BCE helps local enterprises adopt European green innovations, align with global ESG standards, and access sustainable finance to enhance their international competitiveness.
