Nguyen Quynh Anh wins Miss Universe Vietnam 2026 title

The Miss Universe Vietnam 2026 final was held in Hai Phong City, northern Vietnam on Friday evening, with 30 contestants competing in name-calling, bikini, evening gown, and interview rounds.

Nguyen Quynh Anh, who was the first runner-up at Miss Universe Vietnam 2024, was crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2026.

Born in 1999 and from Hanoi, Quynh Anh stands 1.75 meters tall.

She was the runner-up at The Face Vietnam 2018 and won Supermodel Me 2021.

Trinh My Anh was named first runner-up, while Emma Maria Fernandez Le, known as Emma Le, finished as second runner-up.

Nguyen Dieu Huyen, known as rapper Phao, and Trinh Thi Hong Dang were named third and fourth runners-up, respectively.

The organizers also presented a number of subsidiary awards.

Trinh My Anh won the Ao Dai Beauty title, Emma Le was named Beauty with the Most Attractive Face, Bui Thi Mai Huong won the Media Beauty award, Hoang Nhu My was named Tourism Beauty, and Nguyen Dieu Huyen won the Talent Beauty title.

Hoang Nhu My also won Bikini Beauty, Nguyen Thi Hao received the Beauty with a Heart award, Nguyen Dieu Huyen was named the Most Popular Beauty, Pham Thi Minh Hue won Sports Beauty, MLee received Fashion Beauty, and rapper Phao also won Evening Gown Beauty.

From the initial 30 contestants, the judges selected a top 20, top 11 and then top five for the interview round.

The top five comprised Nguyen Dieu Huyen, Trinh My Anh, Trinh Thi Hong Dang, Nguyen Quynh Anh, and Emma Le.

Emma Le, Trinh My Anh, and Nguyen Quynh Anh advanced to the final three.

The three finalists were asked the same question: "If you were crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2026 but had only one year to create one meaningful change for Vietnamese women, what issue would you choose and where would you start?"

Quynh Anh said that if she won the title, she would use the power of the crown to raise her voice and take action to help disadvantaged women and children in difficult circumstances have opportunities to express themselves, live as themselves, and freely show who they are.

She said she wanted to organize her own workshops to connect with and listen to their concerns and aspirations, helping them become more confident and willing to express themselves and live authentically.

With the victory, Quynh Anh is expected to represent Vietnam at Miss Universe 2026, which is scheduled to take place in Puerto Rico in November.

However, Vietnam's participation remains uncertain amid disputes related to the Miss Universe franchise rights.

During the final, Pham Duy Khanh, CEO of Five6 Entertainment, head of the organizing committee and general director of the event, said the judges would decide which contestant would win the crown and go to Miss Universe 2026 in Puerto Rico.

"Miss Universe Vietnam 2026 will definitely go to Miss Universe 2026 in Puerto Rico," Khanh said.

Another notable moment came as the outgoing titleholders concluded their reigns.

Nguyen Huong Giang, who represented Vietnam at Miss Universe 2025, and Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen, Miss Universe Vietnam 2024, held hands and took their final steps onstage before handing their crowns to their successors.
