The Nha Trang Ward administration on Friday issued a decision promulgating regulations on the management of parks and beaches along Tran Phu Street.

The regulations apply to agencies, organizations, individuals and tourists engaging in recreational, entertainment and service activities in the designated area, which stretches from Bach Dang Park to Yersin Park.

Under the regulations, organizing sporting events, recreational activities or camping without prior written approval from the ward authorities is prohibited.

Other prohibited activities include street vending, lighting fires, flying kites, organizing meals, and conducting business or providing services on park and beach premises without authorization.

The regulations also prohibit lying on park benches, sitting or stepping on lawns, and arbitrarily cutting down trees, breaking branches, picking flowers or damaging greenery, flower gardens, lawns, public facilities and architectural structures.

Littering, public urination and defecation are also banned. Pets must not be allowed to roam freely or defecate in parks, and are not permitted on the beaches. Fishing close to shore within designated bathing areas is also prohibited.

Swimming outside areas marked by safety buoys or in locations bearing signs prohibiting swimming is not allowed. Playing soccer in parks and on beaches within the regulated area is also strictly prohibited.

Regarding vehicles, people are not allowed to drive on flower gardens, lawns or park walkways, or stop and park road vehicles, including bicycles, outside designated areas. Exceptions apply to authorized parking areas and vehicles performing assigned duties or operating under approved traffic arrangements.

Water-based recreational vehicles are not allowed to be stationed in parks or on beaches, or to operate within safety-buoy areas, except for vehicles used for rescue and search-and-rescue operations.

The regulations also prohibit the improper use of shower pillars, foot-washing stations and drinking-water dispensers, as well as the use of soap, shampoo and cleaning chemicals, washing clothes or carrying out other activities that generate waste and affect environmental hygiene in parks and on beaches.

Licensed service providers are allowed to operate from 5:00 am to midnight daily. They must comply with environmental protection requirements, collect waste and restore the premises after their activities.

The ward authorities have assigned relevant agencies, public service units and police to manage the area, maintain its landscape and public order, conduct round-the-clock patrols and inspections, and deal with violations.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to comply with the regulations and help keep Nha Trang's coastal areas clean, safe and welcoming.

Anyone who detects violations affecting public order, environmental hygiene or the area's tourism landscape can report them to the Nha Trang Ward police hotline at 02583.819.494 or the ward's Public Administrative Service Center at 0357.917.760.
