Nintendo establishes subsidiary in Singapore

KYOTO -- Nintendo Co. said Tuesday that it established a subsidiary in Singapore on Friday, its first unit in Southeast Asia, to boost its business in the region.

The new unit, Nintendo Singapore Pte. Ltd., is capitalized at eight million Singapore dollars.

The Japanese video game maker said that it is also considering setting up a subsidiary in Thailand.
