The incoming rain system may bring severe weather conditions, including thunderstorms, lightning, flash floods, landslides in mountainous regions, and urban flooding in low-lying areas.
In the days leading up to this weather pattern, scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast across the northern region through Saturday.
The northern mountainous provinces in particular are expected to see moderate to heavy rainfall, with localized amounts potentially reaching more than 250 millimeters within 24 hours, and intense bursts exceeding 100 millimeters in just three hours.
In the Central Highlands and southern Vietnam, hot daytime conditions are expected to persist, with scattered showers and thunderstorms likely during the late afternoons and evenings through June 30.
From July 1 to July 2, moderate to heavy afternoon and evening rains are forecast across the Central Highlands and southern regions, with isolated areas receiving more than 70 millimeters.
Meanwhile, central Vietnam is forecast to remain mostly dry and sunny through July 2, though some scattered evening thunderstorms may still occur.
