The performances, titled The Vienna Concert 2026, will take place at Ho Guom Opera House as the Austrian orchestra celebrates its 80th anniversary.
This year's concerts will feature composer, pianist and conductor Alma Deutscher, alongside internationally acclaimed opera singers Adrian Eröd (baritone) and Nadezhda Karyazina (mezzo-soprano).
The opening night on November 7 will showcase works by Ludwig van Beethoven and Franz Schubert, including Beethoven's Symphony No. 8 and Schubert's Symphony No. 4, also known as the Tragic Symphony.
Deutscher will perform on the piano and conduct the orchestra in her Ludwig Waltz No. 1, while also presenting her composition Impromptu for Orchestra in B Major.
“The inclusion of contemporary works alongside classical masterpieces creates a dialogue between tradition and creativity, offering fresh perspectives on the enduring vitality of classical music,” the organizers said.
The evening will also feature operatic selections from Bizet, Johann Strauss II, Tchaikovsky, Wagner and Rossini, performed by Eröd and Karyazina.
The second concert on November 8 will celebrate Vienna's rich musical heritage with Mozart's Symphony No. 41, known as the Jupiter Symphony, the overture to his opera Don Giovanni, and Johann Strauss II's Kaiser-Walzer (Emperor Waltz).
The program will also feature Deutscher's contemporary compositions Siren Sounds Waltz and Grinzinger Polka, before concluding with operatic excerpts by Mozart and Franz Lehár.
