One-way restrictions for cars on Ho Chi Minh City street next week for metro construction

Under the plan of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, cars will be banned from traveling in one direction along this section.

Specifically, all cars will be prohibited from traveling on Cach Mang Thang Tam Street in the direction from Ly Thuong Kiet Street toward 3/2 Street.

Vehicles needing to travel in this direction will be required to follow alternative routes: Ly Thuong Kiet or Truong Chinh → Hoang Van Thu → Le Binh → Hoang Sa → Rach Bung Binh → Ba Huyen Thanh Quan → Vo Thi Sau → 3/2.

Meanwhile, buses will continue to operate in both directions to ensure public transport services.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, the traffic adjustment is aimed at facilitating the implementation of Metro Line No. 2, one of the city’s key transport infrastructure projects.

The line connects the city’s central area with the northwestern gateway and helps ease traffic pressure on existing roads once completed.

During the construction period, the department has asked road users traveling through the area to slow down, pay attention to surrounding conditions, and follow instructions from traffic regulators, traffic police, and road signs installed around the construction site to ensure safety and minimize congestion.

The new traffic arrangement will take effect on August 13 and remain in place throughout the construction of works on Cach Mang Thang Tam Street.

Residents who frequently travel through the area are advised to stay updated on traffic information and choose suitable routes to avoid disruptions to their travel time.
