An official from the administration in Van Phu Commune, Nho Quan District, Ninh Binh confirmed on Monday that the provincial police had detained 30-year-old Le Van Hai, a local resident and the owner of the 'Gia dinh Hai Sen' channel.

Later that same evening, several of the channel’s product-selling videos had been hidden from view.

The website haibe.vn, operated by Hai Be Co. Ltd., reported an error and was inaccessible.

The phone number ending in ...1995, previously listed as belonging to Hai, could not be reached.

Hai Be Co. Ltd. was established in 2022 in Van Phu Commune, with Le Van Hai as its director.

The 'Hai Sen' brand is registered under Hai Be Co. Ltd.

Currently, Tran Dai Phuc is listed as the legal representative of Hai Be Co. Ltd., but the phone number ending in ...2000 associated with him is also unreachable.

Previously, the 'Gia dinh Hai Sen' channel promoted and sold various products including exfoliants, cosmetics, and health supplements, which were advertised as "completely natural and made from clean ingredients."

Testing results for the quality indicators of 'Siro an ngon Hai Be,' an appetite stimulant syrup for kids that Hai sold, found that key ingredients – vitamin A, calcium, and vitamin C, which are the main active components – were present at less than 70 percent of the declared amounts, according to the verified Facebook page of the Vietnamese government.

Under Government Decree No. 98/2020, this classifies the health supplement 'Siro an ngon Hai Be' as a counterfeit product.

In addition to the 'Hai Be' website, the channel also operated other platforms such as the 'Hai Sen' page and a YouTube account named 'Gia dinh Hai Sen.'
