The Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on Friday issued the administrative fine to Hi Sky Chi Linh Co., Ltd., which offers powered paragliding services in Bai Chay, for safety violations that led to a recent accident.

The company failed to meet technical requirements regarding takeoff, landing, and operating zones.

On June 15, one of its powered paragliders crashed into the sea and veered toward beachgoers, causing panic among tourists.

The department ordered the company to reassess its safety protocols and strictly comply with flight safety regulations.

The responsibility of the pilot involved in the incident is also under review.

Hi Sky Chi Linh is licensed to operate powered paragliding activities for training, commercial services, and performances in northern Vietnamese provinces like Son La, Hai Duong, and Quang Ninh.
