General Secretary Lam praised Marvell’s achievements in Vietnam, saying the company has contributed significantly to the country’s development and bilateral ties.
He welcomed continued expansion by leading global corporations, including Marvell, in Vietnam and called on the firm to pursue further investment.
Highlighting Vietnam’s focus on science and technology, Lam outlined several priority areas where Marvell could expand investment, including building data centers, developing the semiconductor industry, and training skilled human resources.
He emphasized that Vietnam is reforming institutional frameworks and improving policies to facilitate investment and business operations for both domestic and foreign enterprises while advancing the country’s development goals.
Lam also affirmed that Vietnam regards the U.S. as one of its most important partners and expressed hope that the bilateral relationship will continue to develop positively, deeply, and effectively, benefiting people and businesses in both countries.
In response, Bharathi reviewed Marvell’s business achievements in Vietnam over the past decade.
In its latest move, the company on Tuesday officially inaugurated three new offices in Vietnam, two in Ho Chi Minh City and one in Da Nang, making the country Marvell’s third-largest research and development (R&D) hub worldwide, with more than 500 engineers.
Notably, the new offices in Ho Chi Minh City include a R&D lab with advanced validation tools for testing semiconductor chips, reflecting Marvell’s strong commitment to technical excellence and its strategic confidence in Vietnam as a rising hub for semiconductor innovation.
Bharathi expressed a desire to strengthen partnerships with ministries, local authorities, and universities to foster the semiconductor ecosystem and human resources development, helping Vietnam become an important link in Marvell’s global network.
He also appreciated Vietnam’s leadership vision in science and technology and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting Vietnam’s development and innovation efforts.
