The flight later landed safely at its destination without diversion.
The incident occurred at 3:00 am on Monday, when the cabin crew noticed unusual signs from a Vietnamese passenger identified as H.Y.L, seated 38F, who became unresponsive during the flight.
The chief flight attendant immediately called for medical assistance while the cabin crew performed first aid steps.
Two passengers, Jian Ying Liang and Keith Anh Kiet Ly, who are doctors, volunteered to help.
Joining the cabin crew, they assessed the passenger’s condition, monitoring health indicators, and provided necessary treatment.
The passenger gradually regained consciousness, was able to respond, and later sat up with the help of the crew.
For the remainder of the flight, the cabin crew continued to closely monitor the passenger’s condition and provided necessary care.
Before landing, the crew informed the airport ground staff to prepare medical support.
Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the passenger was handed over to the medical staff for further examination and monitoring.
A representative of Vietnam Airlines flight said the situation was handled in accordance with procedures, ensuring passenger safety without disrupting the flight.
