The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, when a Bamboo Airways flight from Da Nang City, central Vietnam landed at 12:20 am, as reported in a social media post.

As passengers disembarked and walked through the jet bridge toward Terminal 1, they, along with pilots and the cabin crew, were unable to exit as the glass door at the end of the corridor remained locked.

The problem lasted around 40 minutes, resulting in fatigue and frustration among many passengers with young children.

There was no guidance or explanation from airport staff until an airline representative came to open the door.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has instructed the Southern Airports Authority, Tan Son Nhat Airport, and other relevant bodies to conduct an investigation and review service procedures to avoid similar cases in the future.
