One of the most popular spots at the lake is the so-called 'lonely tree,' which stands on a small islet about 20 meters from the Long Son 2 dam.
Rising roughly five meters high with a lush canopy, the tree was planted years ago by local residents and has since stood alone in the middle of the lake.

Visitors enjoy watching sunset over the tranquil lake.
The tree is perhaps most beautiful at sunrise or sunset, drawing visitors to Phu Ninh Lake to capture the scene beside the iconic tree.
Normally partially submerged during the rainy season, the tree now stands on an easily accessible islet due to the lower water level, making it an ideal stop for photos.

Nguyen Van Tan Truong, a student from Hue Industrial College in neighboring Hue City, traveled over 170 kilometers with friends after discovering the destination on social media.
"I was amazed when I saw it in person,” Truong said.
"The untouched beauty of the lake, the greenery, and that 'lone tree' made the whole scene feel incredibly peaceful.”
Phuong Giang, a resident of Huong Tra Ward in Da Nang, described the location as 'super chill,' with numerous scenic angles that make it easy to snap a beautiful photo with just a lift of the camera.
The site is attracting not only local visitors but also international tourists, who come not just to take pictures with the lake and the 'lonely tree,' but also to enjoy the clean air and natural surroundings.
