Police verify video of foreigner riding electric suitcase on Ho Chi Minh City street

Many people expressed concern about the man's actions

Traffic police in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City are coordinating with relevant units to verify a video showing a man sitting on a moving electric suitcase while talking on the phone on Le Thanh Ton Street. The police have identified the man as a foreigner.

They are currently trying to determine his whereabouts to invite him for questioning.

A video circulating on social media since Friday shows the man sitting on a three-wheeled electric suitcase, holding a phone in one hand and steering the suitcase with the other hand while moving along the street.

At the time, the road was crowded with vehicles, and many motorcycles had to maneuver around the man to avoid a collision.

A passer-by recorded the incident and shared it on social media. Many people expressed concern about the man's actions.

A traffic police officer in Ho Chi Minh City said the suitcase the man was riding on is not classified as a vehicle and is not allowed on public roads.

The electric suitcase, which costs several million Vietnamese dong, is typically used in airport corridors or waiting areas to help reduce foot fatigue.
