2 Vietnamese workers found dead in fuel tank at disused gas station in Hue

On Sunday evening, local residents reported finding two men apparently overcome by fumes inside an underground fuel tank at the station on Le Ngo Cat Street.

The victims were identified as L.H.P., from Thanh Hoa Province in north-central Vietnam, and N.D.T., a resident in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak.

Initial information indicated that the two men worked for a company and were inspecting the fuel tank when the incident occurred.

The gas station had been out of operation for a long time.

Both men were rescued from the tank and taken for emergency medical treatment but died on the way to the hospital.

Hue police arrived at the scene and are investigating the cause of the incident.
