The Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism said local authorities are completing the final preparations for the fireworks festival, which is expected to attract millions of visitors.
According to city officials, Da Nang Police, the city's Military Command, and the Border Guard Command have already drafted plans to ensure public security, traffic safety, and waterway management throughout the event.
Relevant agencies are also coordinating inspections related to food safety, tourism management, cultural activities, and commercial services across the city.
During a preparation meeting on May 13, vice-chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi instructed all departments to urgently complete assigned tasks.
They were required to focus on public safety, fire prevention, rescue operations, environmental sanitation, traffic control, price stabilization, and the handling of disguised begging activities.

The city leadership also directed the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to strengthen promotional campaigns to attract visitors.
Meanwhile, the Department of Construction is working with local police to develop traffic diversion plans for congestion-prone areas.
The Da Nang Military Command has increased monitoring of drones and ultra-light aircraft, while the Border Guard Command is tightening control over waterway vessels and establishing safe river routes for the festival.
According to organizers, the 2026 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival will run from May 30 to July 11, featuring five qualifying nights and one grand finale.
This year's event will continue on a large scale, with more than 10,000 seats available each night.
Construction of the grandstands is progressing on schedule, with all safety and fire prevention inspections expected to be completed before May 27.
The opening night on May 30 will feature a competition between the Da Nang team, Vietnam 1, and reigning champion Jiangxi Yangfeng Art Display Co., Ltd from China under the theme 'Nature.'
Beyond the fireworks displays, the opening ceremony will be staged as a large-scale riverside concert along the Han River, featuring performances by well-known Vietnamese artists including Ho Ngoc Ha, Hoang Hai, Ha Nhi, and Nguyen Tran Trung Quan.
The program will also include nearly 70 professional dancers and more than 30 international performers from Sun World Ba Na Hills. Emcees Quang Bao and Thuy Van will host the opening night.
Organizers said the performances are designed to combine modern artistic styles with themes celebrating Vietnam's beauty and Da Nang's youthful and dynamic image.
In addition to the fireworks competition, this year's festival will feature 26 side events.
New highlights compared with the 2025 edition include a world intangible cultural heritage showcase at the My Son Sanctuary complex and the Sun Fest Ba Na Hills festival.

Last year's festival welcomed more than one million visitors to Da Nang.
With more extensive preparations this year, the city expects tourist arrivals to increase by at least 15 percent.
The 2026 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival stage is designed around the concept of a 'crossroads of unity' under the theme 'Danang – United Horizons.'
Measuring approximately 100 meters wide and covering nearly 1,200 square meters, it is considered the largest stage ever built for the festival.
A major highlight is the central movable dome system, spanning more than 40 meters wide and over 10 meters high. The structure can transform within 70 seconds to create seamless scene transitions.
The festival space will also feature advanced performance technologies, including high-powered lasers, 3D LED matrix systems, Retro Amber lighting, multi-layer mechanical effects, and Sky AR technology that allows audiences to interact with the fireworks display through personal devices.
Laser LED projection systems across the Han River and surrounding riverside buildings, combined with real-time synchronized sound technology, are expected to deliver an immersive audio-visual experience for spectators.
