The rescues were carried out in four separate incidents along the Tran Phu and Nguyen Chanh coastal areas, according to the Nha Trang Bay Management Board's search and rescue unit.

All seven people were brought safely back to shore and were reported to be in stable condition.

At about 10:00 am, lifeguards rescued a Russian father and son who were dragged offshore by large waves near a beachfront restaurant on Tran Phu Street, the unit said.

About an hour later, two more Russian tourists were pulled to safety from the water near No. 36 Tran Phu Street.

Shortly after 1:00 pm, rescuers assisted a Vietnamese grandmother and her grandchild who were caught in strong surf near Nguyen Chanh Street.

At around 2:00 pm, a Russian woman was rescued in a fourth incident near the same section of Tran Phu Street, officials said.

Rescue authorities urged residents and tourists to avoid swimming during rough sea conditions and to strictly follow warning flags and instructions from lifeguards.

According to the Khanh Hoa Hydro-Meteorological Station, coastal waters in the past 24 hours were affected by northeast winds at force five to six, with gusts up to force seven to eight, generating waves of three to six meters and rough seas.
