The 55-story Saigon Marina IFC tower was officially inaugurated at 2 Ton Duc Thang Street in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday morning.

The project is developed by CapitaLand Tower Co. Ltd.

Saigon Marina IFC comprises 55 above-ground floors and five basement levels, with a total floor area exceeding 106,000 square meters.

Of this, some 87,000 square meters is allocated for Grade A office space.

The remaining area includes a shopping mall, restaurants, meeting rooms, and various high-end amenities.

As one of the tallest towers in Vietnam, the building is designed to meet LEED Gold standards, incorporating energy-saving and environmentally friendly solutions.

Over 30 percent of its area is dedicated to green spaces.

A distinctive architectural feature of the tower is its full-facade LED system capable of dynamic light displays, complemented by a modern musical fountain plaza.

At the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc stated that Saigon Marina IFC marks a starting point in the development of Ho Chi Minh City's international financial center—a new driver of Vietnam's economic growth and deeper global integration.

Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, vice-chairwoman of HDBank, remarked that Saigon Marina IFC is not only a new architectural icon of Ho Chi Minh City but it also opens a new chapter for modern and globally connected urban development.

Prior to the unveiling of Saigon Marina IFC, CapitaLand Tower underwent a major change in shareholder structure.

Its charter capital was increased tenfold, from VND2.02 trillion (US$76.8 million) to VND22.52 trillion ($856.3 million).

According to data from Ho Chi Minh City’s Business Registration Office, along with the capital increase, a new major shareholder, Le Thi Huyen Linh, joined the company.

She now holds a 91-percent stake, equivalent to over VND20.5 trillion ($780.5 million).

Meanwhile, previous shareholders significantly reduced their ownership.

Luong Phan Son’s stake dropped to 8.5 percent from 95 percent, while Nguyen Manh Kien and Nguyen Tan Hung each now hold 0.2 percent.

Son currently serves as chairman of the members’ council and the legal representative of CapitaLand Tower.

Despite the reduction in his ownership stake, he continues to hold the company’s top leadership position.
