7 Bangladeshis found working illegally in Vietnam’s Dong Nai

Police in Dong Nai Province, southern Vietnam have discovered seven Bangladeshi nationals who were allegedly residing and working illegally at a construction site in Ho Nai Industrial Park in the province.

Officers from the Ho Nai - Song May Industrial Park police station, in coordination with the provincial immigration management division, inspected a construction site of a factory owned by T.D. Company on Road No. 10 in Ho Nai Industrial Park, Ho Nai Ward on Tuesday, discovering a group of foreign workers.

At the time of the inspection, no representative of the construction site was present.

Meanwhile, the foreign workers were unable to present personal identification documents or work permits.

According to initial findings, the foreign workers are Bangladeshis, employed by a subcontractor, D.H. Construction Company.

The workers had been working at the site for some two weeks, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm daily.

Their meals and wages were reportedly paid by D.H. Construction Company.

They left the construction site after working hours each day.

The police station is currently coordinating with the immigration management division and local police units to continue verifying the case and complete the necessary documentation for handling in accordance with the law.
