Held in Astana, Kazakhstan from August 2 to 8, the third edition of the competition drew 108 national and territorial teams.
A total of 471 students took part in the individual AI programming contest.
This year's contest featured highly challenging and innovative tasks, requiring participants to complete the full AI problem-solving process, including data analysis, method selection, programming, model training and optimization, testing, and product development.
Contestants were also expected to demonstrate strong knowledge of machine learning, programming, data structures, algorithms, probability and statistics, optimization, and computational resource management.
The organizers awarded 37 gold medals, 73 silver medals, and 110 bronze medals.
The results underscore Vietnam’s competitiveness among the world’s leading countries in artificial intelligence and highlight the ability of Vietnamese students to excel in emerging technologies.
