Noi Bai Catering Services Joint Stock Company, a key supplier of in-flight meals and beverages such as milk tea, has released its second-quarter financial report showing net revenue of over VND201 billion (US$7.6 million), a year-on-year increase of more than 24 percent.
During the first half of the year, its revenue amounted to nearly VND410 billion ($15.7 million), up 20 percent year on year, while net profit climbed over 22 percent to VND33.4 billion ($1.3 million).
The leadership of the firm attributed the growth to a surge in demand for air travel, both locally and internationally, during the summer travel season.
In addition to its core business of airline catering, the firm has expanded into food and beverage services for events and conferences.
Vietnam Airlines currently holds a stake of over 60 percent in the company.
Similarly, Noi Bai Cargo Terminal Services Joint Stock Company, reported double-digit growth.
Specializing in cargo transportation, between January and June, the firm posted net revenue of over VND520 billion ($19.8 million), and a post-tax profit of VND149 billion ($5.7 million), a 31-percent year-on-year increase.
In the south, Southern Airports Services Joint Stock Company (Sasco), which operates airport lounges and duty-free retail outlets, also posted encouraging results for the second quarter.
Sasco recorded over VND770 billion ($29.5 million) in net revenue during the second quarter of the year, taking its total for the first half to more than VND1.53 trillion ($58.5 million).
The firm reported a net profit of VND221 billion ($8.5 million), a spike from the VND140 billion ($5.3 million) recorded during the same period in 2024.
Duty-free retail remained the biggest earner, generating over VND245 billion ($9.4 million) in the second quarter of 2025, followed closely by lounge services, which brought in more than VND216 billion ($8.3 million).
Vietnam welcomed nearly 10.7 million international visitors in the first half of 2025, a 21-percent year-on year rise.
The country is targeting up to 23 million international arrivals for the year.
International arrivals traditionally surge in the latter part of the year due to end-of-year holidays and seasonal travel trends.
