According to the Da Nang People's Committee on Thursday, representatives of FTechX Corporation and Xbrain recently met with city leaders to present several strategic investment proposals.
The proposed projects include a cross-border e-commerce hub, an agentic AI factory, an AI training center, a cloud operations center, and a public-sector AI research center.
Under the proposal, Da Nang would become a cross-border e-commerce hub for central Vietnam, connecting local businesses with international markets via an international platform while developing a logistics ecosystem to support digital exports.
The investors proposed building the first industrial-scale AI factory in central Vietnam on the AWS platform to develop AI agents for the banking and finance sector, IT operations, and public services.
If implemented, the projects are expected to create around 1,000 high-quality technology jobs by 2028.
The companies also suggested training and internationally certifying about 10,000 engineers in artificial intelligence and cloud computing between 2026 and 2028.
In addition, they plan to establish a cloud operations center meeting AWS Managed Service Provider standards to serve customers in Vietnam and the region, while conducting AI research to support digital government, smart city development, and improvements in public services.

Nguyen Manh Hung, chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, said the propositions align with the city's strategy for digital economy development and innovation.
He called on the investors to continue working with relevant agencies to finalize the investment plan and clarify the project scope, implementation model, development road map, infrastructure requirements, and coordination mechanisms.
The Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones Authority has been assigned to coordinate with relevant departments and the investors throughout the projects' implementation.
The city said it would facilitate projects that are consistent with its development strategy.
Regarding workforce development, Hung urged the investors to begin training activities immediately to meet the projects' timeline.
Representatives of the investor group said they would soon complete the investment plan for submission to city authorities.
Under the proposal, the first phase of the projects is expected to require an investment of approximately US$100 million.
