Andrea Bocelli to perform in Da Lat for first time, concert limited to invitees

The festival will be organized under the leadership of the Lam Dong People's Committee in cooperation with partners and sponsors, according to the department.

Bocelli, 68, is a renowned Italian tenor who performed 'Nessun Dorma' at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and Euro 2020.

His recent song 'DNA' for the World Cup 2026 has also brought his name to a global audience.

His performance in Da Lat will mark his first visit to Vietnam as part of the Vietnam Jazz Heritage Festival 2026, which will take place from November 6 to 8.

The announcement of Bocelli's performance in Da Lat has attracted considerable public interest.

Residents and visitors from various localities have contacted multiple channels in recent days to inquire about tickets.

People in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi have shared on social media that they are willing to pay substantial sums to attend a performance featuring Bocelli.

However, the department said Bocelli would not perform at the two public concerts scheduled for November 6 at Lam Vien Square and November 8 in front of Hoa Binh Theater.

Instead, he will give a private performance on the evening of November 7 inside the Haus project, located at the intersection of Dinh Tien Hoang and Tran Quoc Toan Streets in Da Lat.

The performance will be exclusively for invited guests, with the organizers expected to issue 300 invitations.

Although the organizers have announced the arrangements on social media, public interest in the event has remained strong.

Some people have argued that bringing Bocelli to Vietnam is a rare opportunity and called on the organizers to sell tickets publicly so more music fans can attend the performance.

Nguyen Thanh Tam, a resident of southern Can Tho City, said he had heard Bocelli sing in the U.S. and wanted to buy tickets so his family in Vietnam could attend the concert.

"It is a pity that the event is by invitation only," he said.
