The rehearsal opened with the Vietnamese national anthem echoing across the tarmac, followed by a commanding order from Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, deputy chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and head of the parade sub-committee.
High above the parade grounds, helicopters flew in tight formation, trailing the Vietnamese national and Party flags through the morning sky.
Moments later, Su-30MK2 fighter jets and Yak-130 training aircraft streaked overhead in an arrow-shaped formation, thrilling spectators with a powerful aerial display.
On the ground, columns of marching units -- led by flag bearers representing the Party and the nation -- advanced with flawless coordination.
Each red flag, held proudly under the sun, reflected the pride and unity of the Vietnamese people.
Jet engines roared above as aircraft performed synchronized maneuvers, while disciplined military and police formations pressed forward in unison below, demonstrating the strength and readiness of Vietnam’s armed forces and public security units.
The show of precision and unity is the result of months of demanding training under both intense heat and unexpected downpours.
Organizers said the parade will highlight Vietnam’s military capability and national spirit to the world.
Wednesday’s rehearsal featured 38 marching contingents, including 25 units from the military and militia and 13 from public security forces.
