The Nha Trang beach rescue and relief team said it discovered the male foreigner's body drifting at sea and brought it ashore.
Police are coordinating with relevant agencies to investigate the cause of death.
On the same day, rescue forces detected and saved 10 people who were swept away from shore by large waves while swimming at Nha Trang beach.
Rescue officials said seas have been rough with strong waves during the 2026 Lunar New Year holiday, which began last weekend.
The team has deployed warning signs, maintained full staffing, and advised residents and visitors not to swim when conditions are dangerous.
Despite the warnings, some beachgoers entered the water in high waves, leading to incidents, officials said.
The Nha Trang Bay Management Board urged residents and tourists not to swim during rough seas or when rip currents are present, and to follow warning flags and instructions from on-site rescue forces.
Authorities said anyone spotting a person in distress at sea should immediately notify rescue teams or the nearest lifeguard station.
