Brazil-born Hanoi FC player Do Hoang Hen casts ballot in Vietnam election
Naturalized footballer Do Hoang Hen cast his ballot on Sunday in Vietnam’s parliamentary and local elections at a polling station in Tu Liem Ward, Hanoi.

Hen, who plays for Hanoi FC in the country's top-tier V.League 1, said he had reviewed information about candidates before voting in the election for the 16th National Assembly of Vietnam and local People's Councils for the 2026–31 term.
"This is a special day in my life," he said after casting his ballot.

The midfielder, born Hendrio Araujo Da Silva in Brazil, became a Vietnamese citizen in October 2025 and adopted the Vietnamese name Do Hoang Hen.
After five years playing in Vietnam's domestic league, he is now eligible to compete as a local player and represent the national team.
Hen is currently in the preliminary squad for Vietnam's national football team ahead of a match against Malaysia's national football team in the third round of qualifiers for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup under South Korean head coach Kim Sang Sik.
