-- The People's Committee in Ea Ktur Commune, Dak Lak Province has fined the owner of a catering facility a total of VND27 million (US$1,030) for violating food safety regulations, including the presence of maggots in a steamed chicken dish, the commune chairman said on Tuesday.

-- Leaders of Dong Nai City in southern Vietnam on Tuesday called for the acceleration of road projects connecting eastern Ho Chi Minh City with Long Thanh International Airport, ensuring synchronized infrastructure when the airport begins operations at the end of 2026.

-- Ho Chi Minh City recorded 995 dengue fever cases from July 20 through 26, up 20 percent from the average over the previous four weeks, as the city has entered the peak period of the dengue season amid frequent rainfall and high humidity. The cumulative number of dengue cases reached 23,480 from the beginning of 2026 to July 26, according to the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control.
