-- Police in Dak Lak Province have prosecuted two suspects for allegedly smuggling more than 7,000 fruit-dipping chemical products for durians, worth over VND4.5 billion (US$171,000), imported from China and Thailand.

-- Thao Long Dam on the Huong River in Hue City, central Vietnam, once Southeast Asia's largest saltwater intrusion control structure, has entered its most complex overhaul since becoming operational in 2008.

-- Authorities in Ngu Hanh Son Ward, Da Nang City, central Vietnam on Tuesday launched inspections of signs and advertisements that do not comply with regulations, reminding businesses that advertising content must be in Vietnamese except for trademarks, brand names, foreign proper nouns, or internationally recognized terms.
