-- Kon Ka Kinh National Park in Gia Lai Province on Thursday released 15 rescued wild animals, including endangered peafowl, Bengal monitors, pigtail macaques, and red-faced macaques, back into their natural habitat after rehabilitation and health assessments found them fit to survive independently in the wild.

-- Authorities in Lang Son Province, northern Vietnam have charged a 39-year-old pedestrian with violating road traffic regulations after investigators said he crossed National Highway 1 at an undesignated location without signaling, causing a collision with a motorcycle that left both parties seriously injured.

-- Police in Phu Tho Province, northern Vietnam said on Thursday they had dismantled a suspected cross-border online fraud network linked to scam operations in Cambodia, arresting several suspects and seizing computer and telecommunications equipment before the group could launch a planned fraud center in Vietnam.

-- Many residents in Khanh Hoa Province, south-central Vietnam reported on Thursday that black, foul-smelling water was continuing to flow from two drainage outfalls near Hon Mot Mountain in Nha Trang and discharge directly into Nha Trang Bay following previous reports.

-- Police in Ho Chi Minh City said on Thursday they had dismantled an interprovincial ring accused of stealing and collecting cats for resale, rescuing and seizing more than 500 animals.

-- Ho Chi Minh City ranked sixth among the world’s 15 best food cities in a new survey by UK-based travel magazine Time Out, which cited the Vietnamese city’s street food culture, café scene, and growing mix of traditional and contemporary dining concepts.

-- Southern Ho Chi Minh City continues to face a shortage of new housing supply despite strong demand and rising apartment prices, while several newly launched projects are introducing fresh residential products to help ease market constraints, developers and industry participants said.
