-- Ho Chi Minh City Children’s Hospital saved a five-year-old girl from Binh Phuoc Province who suffered severe dengue shock, liver failure, gastrointestinal bleeding and respiratory failure, the hospital said on Sunday.

-- A branch of a tunnel in the An Phu interchange project in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City will open on Monday, the city’s transport authority said.

-- Police in Phu Yen Province, south-central Vietnam are investigating the death of a Malaysian director of a car manufacturing company in Tuy An District, who was found dead beside his bed on company premises on Sunday.

-- Vietnam’s state-run computerized lottery company Vietlott said a customer won the Mega 6/45 jackpot on Sunday night, with the prize money exceeding VND127 billion (US$4.86 million).

-- Hanoi traffic police said on Monday they identified and fined the driver of a pickup truck who was seen carrying six children in the truck bed on Thang Long Boulevard. Under Vietnamese regulations, carrying passengers in a vehicle’s cargo area is subject to a fine of VND4–6 million ($153–230) and a deduction of six points from the 12-point driver’s license.

Economy

-- Vietnam’s CT Group on Sunday unveiled CTDA200M, a 12-bit electronic chip design capable of converting analog signals to digital at sampling speeds up to 200 million samples per second (MSPS). The company said it was Vietnam’s first 12-bit chip to reach that speed.

-- Vietnam, the world’s second-largest durian producer and exporter after Thailand, imported $9.3 million worth of durians in January-April, six times more than the same period last year.

Travel

-- The operator said its four-wheeled electric shuttle service connecting major tourist sites in Ho Chi Minh City, including the Independence Palace, Ben Thanh Market, and Nha Rong Wharf, will be suspended from Tuesday due to regulatory issues.

Sports

-- Vietnam defeated Maldives 7-0 in their opening match of Group E in the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers on Sunday evening at Viet Tri Stadium in Phu Tho Province, northern Vietnam.
