-- Several households and large areas of crops along Rat Stream in Binh Phuoc Ward, Dong Nai Province, southern Vietnam were flooded after heavy rain overnight caused sudden flooding, local authorities said on Tuesday.

-- Visitors to Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Ho Chi Minh City recently witnessed elephants receiving foot care and health checks, part of a welfare initiative organized by the zoo, the Vietnam Zoos Association, and nonprofit Elephant Care Unchained.
