Officers are continuing to investigate the death of a Chinese national who was found dead in a hotel in An Lac Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
Preliminary information indicated that on Friday afternoon, an employee at the hotel reported discovering a guest deceased in his room under suspicious circumstances.
The victim, 58, held Chinese nationality.
During the probe, police identified H.Y., a 34-year-old Chinese, as a suspect in the murder case, so they requested assistance from the airport’s border gate police to track him.
Airport authorities discovered that Y. had already completed check-in for a Shandong Airlines flight from Tan Son Nhat to Shandong, China.
He was located shortly afterward at a café and was taken in for questioning by the Criminal Police Division, in coordination with airport police.
